Finnish Producer Prices Fall for 4th Month
Producer prices in Finland decreased 0.6 percent year-on-year in September of 2019, after a 1.0 percent drop in the previous month. This was the fourth straight monthly decline in producer prices, but the smallest fall, as producer prices for export products fell softer (-1.3 percent vs -1.9 percent in August) while manufactured products sold on the domestic market was unchanged (vs -0.2 percent). Export prices were mainly dragged by lower prices of oil products, pulp and iron, steel and ferro-alloys. On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.5 percent, following a 0.2 percent decline in August.

Finnish Producer Prices Fall the Most in 3 Months
Producer prices in Finland decreased 1.0 percent year-on-year in August of 2019, after a 0.8 percent drop in the previous month. This was the third straight monthly decline in producer prices, and the steepest fall, as producer prices for export products fell further (-1.9 percent vs -2.0 percent in July) while manufactured products sold on the domestic market prices dropped (-0.2 percent vs 0.4 percent). Export prices were mainly dragged by lower prices of oil products, pulp, and basic chemicals. On a monthly basis, producer prices fell 0.2 percent, following a 0.5 percent gain in July.

Finnish Producer Prices Fall for 2nd Month
Producer prices in Finland decreased 0.8 percent year-on-year in July of 2019, after a 0.9 percent fall in the previous month. This was the second straight month of declines in producer prices, as producer prices for export products fell further (-2.0 percent vs -1.6 percent in June) while manufactured products sold on the domestic market prices rebounded (0.4 percent vs -0.3 percent). Export prices were mainly dragged by lower prices of oil products, pulp, and basic metals. On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.5 percent, reversing a 1.1 percent drop in June.

Finnish Producer Prices Fall for 1st Time Since 2016
Producer prices in Finland declined 0.9 percent year-on-year in June of 2019, reversing from a 0.9 percent rise in the previous month. This was the first decrease in producer prices since October 2016, as producer prices for export products fell faster (-1.6 percent vs -0.2 percent in May) while manufactured products sold on the domestic market prices dropped (-0.3 percent vs 1.8 percent). Export prices were mainly dragged by lower prices of oil products and basic metals. Import prices was especially caused by lower prices of oil products, waste and basic metals. On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped 1.1 percent, after a 0.1 percent gain in May.

Finnish Producer Inflation Rises the Least in 2-1/2 Years
Producer prices in Finland increased 0.9 percent year-on-year in May of 2019, easing from a 2.0 percent rise in the previous month. It was the lowest producer inflation since November 2016, as export products fell (-0.2 percent vs 1.2 percent in April) while manufactured products sold on the domestic market prices rose softer (1.8 percent vs 2.7 percent). Export prices were mainly boosted by higher prices of electricity, pulp, paper, paperboard & cardboard; while prices of iron & steel fell. Import prices was especially caused by higher prices of oil products and electricity whereas prices of waste declined. On a monthly basis, producer prices edged up 0.1 percent, the same pace as in April.

Producer prices in Finland increased 2 percent year-on-year in April of 2019, easing from a 2.3 percent rise in the previous month. It was the lowest producer inflation since November 2016, as export products rose softer (1.2 percent vs 1.8 percent in March) while manufactured products sold on the domestic market prices was unchanged (at 2.7 percent). Export prices were mainly boosted by higher prices of pulp, paper, paperboard & cardboard; chemicals & chemical products and oil products while prices of iron & steel fell. Import prices was especially caused by higher prices of oil products and electricity whereas prices of waste declined. On a monthly basis, producer prices edged up 0.1 percent, after a flat reading in March.
